About Us
Finance is part of the Business and Finance Division at the University of Michigan. The organization is comprised of several major units, including Enterprise Strategic Risk Management, Enterprise Financial Planning & Analysis, Financial Operations, Procurement Services, Tax, and the Treasurer’s Office. Collectively, these units partner with the university community to provide the financial infrastructure and services essential to being one of the world’s greatest public universities.
The diverse range of services and functions offered by Finance include, among many other things, internal and external financial reporting, tax management, student financial operations, space analysis, debt management, internal controls, and a variety of business services such as print/copy/mail and property disposition. Finance is also playing a key role in the university’s ongoing efforts to contain costs and enhance revenues.
